The fashion design scene in Egypt has witnessed a major leap recently. Egyptian fashion designers are working hard to go past the point of creativity. They are innovating new styles, trends and fabrics that gained a lot of attention locally and internationally.

Here are 7 Egyptian Fashion designers who created unique luxury brands:

Farida Temraz

Temraza is the worldwide brand created by the Egyptian designer Farida Temraz. After working in a multinational company, Temraz decided to quit her job and follow her passion in fashion design. Temraz has marked her name among international designers. Specially after she won the first-place award as the best fashion designer in Paris Fashion Week 2016. Temraz also launched her fashion store in California.

Okhtein

Having a mega star like Beyonce to wear an Egyptian brand is a thing to be super proud of. Not only her, but celebs like Emma Watson, Emma Roberts, Kris Jenner and more. They are all in love with the Egyptian designers’ work and show it off. The story of the two passionate sisters Monaz and Aya Abdel Raouf is a great inspiration. They started their brand “Okhtein” back in 2013 and went places since then. The two sisters decided to start a brand together. Obviously, they both complete each other and share the fascination with luxury handbags.

Kojak Studio

You may have caught Mohannad Kojak on Project Runway Middle East on which he was the youngest participant. The dramatic style in Kojak’s work instantly captures your soul. He likes to experiment using extraordinary fabrics like upholstery and tassels. There is always a unique essence about his designs. Subtly his designs work on educating people on accepting different ideas. Kojak expresses that he always gets inspiration from Egypt’s rich cultures and society controversies.

Yasmine Yeya couture

After the success of her first collection “Les Jasmins De Yeya” in 2014, Miason Yeya has set a new bar in the bridal couture scene. Maison Yeya gowns are designed to celebrate modern elegant women that are classic as well. Interesting enough is that Yeya never actually imagined herself to be a designer. She was making dresses just for fun till it hit her this could be her career. Now, Maison Yeya is on a promising journey on dressing brides around the world.

Norine Farah

After studying interior design, hotel management and fashion design, this lady found her way to fashion design through couple of artistic trials. Norine Farah deals with her designs as a form of art that she gets thrilled when others appreciate. Norine launched her first collection at Cairo Fashion Festival III in 2014 and her career kicked off since then. She believes there is no limitations to anyone. Clearly, she is not limited to haute couture but rather likes to experiment new fabrics and styles.

Nour Ibrahim is a rising fashion designer who released his first and new collection “Bespoke” earlier this year. The designs are clearly tapping new lands in the art of fashion design.
