The popular Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa is considered one of the most famous attraction at the Louvre. The Louvre Museum announced on June 28th, 2019 that the Mona Lisa is moving out on the evening of July 16th from its wall where it has been hung for the last 14 years.
Throughout the years the painting has been described as the best known and the most visited piece in the whole world.
The reason behind moving the Mona Lisa is to renovate the gallery that is necessary to the museum. Since it is a real struggle to complete the renovation with the millions of visitors a year.

The world’s famous Mona Lisa is an oil painting. It was painted between 1503 and 1519 by Leonardo Da Vinci when he was living in Florence. After that, it has been hanging in the Louvre Museum in Paris, France.

Mona Lisa will return back to its home in the Louvre a few weeks before the 500th anniversary of Leonardo’s death. Before hosting the Blockbuster Da Vinci’s show on October 24th.

The 500 year anniversary of the death of Da Vinci in Paris is a very important event at the Louvre, as it contains the largest collection of Da Vinci’s work in the world.
Meanwhile, the museum has worked hard for almost the last 10 years for the exhibition. And they are working hard to gather the largest number of Da Vinci’s paintings and sculptures from all time.
The Exhibition will take place in the Hall Napoleon, from October 24th, 2019 to February 24th, 2020. Due to the large numbers of visitors expected to attend the exhibition, all visitors will have to book timed tickets in advance.
